I Ching, het Chinese Boek der Veranderingen, een orakel dat experimenteert met het verband tussen causaliteit en synchroniciteit. De toeschouwer bevestigt dit verband als het antwoord van het orakel neerkomt op een ware vertaling van zijn psychische conditie. Op dezelfde wijze wordt de dans improvisatie aangewakkerd door toeval en keuze in een permanente transformatie, een functionele anarchie. DansChing gaat verder, door de mystieke wetten van I Ching te koppelen aan die van de dans, elkaar ontmoetend in je geest, voor je ogen. Vraag om advies over een persoonlijke kwestie, werp de munten die de flexibele algoritmes van DansChing zullen laten starten. Lees, kijk, luister en voel hoe je deel wordt van een synchrone verandering.

What is DansChing?
I Ching, the Chinese Book of Changes, an oracle which experiments with the connection between causality and synchronicity. The observer validates this connection when the oracle's answer amounts to a true rendering of his psychic condition. In the same way, the dance improvisation is fuelled by chance and choice in a permanent transformation, a functional anarchy. DansChing goes further, linking I Ching's mystical laws to the ones of the dance, all meeting in your mind, before your eyes. Ask for advise on a personal question, spin the coins which will cause the flexible algorithms of DansChing to start turning. Read, watch, listen and feel how you become part of a synchronic change.

Open this visual book of dance. Think of a question you want the DanceOracle to advice you upon. Toss the coins and form your hexagram. This willbe interpreted according to the ancient Chinese wisdom and Katie's and Masako's sensibility.

The result depends on your question, on your hexagram and the time of day/night when you want the Oracle to assist you. It also depends on the belief in your poetic nature.
