"To Boldly Go Where No Ears Ever Went....."

Actually: most of this project shouldn't be revealed, since parts of it are
secret. A standard city-bus, windows blinded, completely dark inside, will
provide transport for visitors of the SoundScapes Festival. From the concert
hall to the restaurant for instance.
But what's special about it ?
On top of the roof there will be microphones fitted, connected to
audio-equipment and speakers inside the bus. The mics will act as artificial
'ears' for the occupants, who will hear the sounds from the city as the bus
drives along. This in itself can be interesting enough: once one's sight is 'blinded',
one's focus on sound is sharper, more intense. Things that normally would
not draw any attention are now out of visual context and will come to you in
a different way.
