Soundscapes Lecture

FROM AWARENESS TO ACTION

"Another conference - what next?"

"The international soundscape society is slowly revolving around a
number of conferences, festivals and symposiums with more or less the same themes, the same speakers. Aside from the "show-and-tell" effect and the always very important meetings between individual artists, researchers and activists, these conferences tend to have very few visible and lasting effects. With the evaluation of the conference "Stockholm, Hey Listen!" in 1998 I would like to present the sometimes unexpected consequences of this meeting and suggest a few topics for the years to come."
